APF Canada Welcomes Victor Thomas as Vice-President, Prairie Region
The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) has announced that corporate governance and international strategy advisor Victor Thomas is joining APF Canada as Vice-President, Prairie Region, effective immediately. Mr. Thomas will work with APF Canada’s senior staff in Vancouver and Toronto to enhance the Foundation’s presence and engagement in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, where a renewed focus on two-way Asia Pacific trade and investment has been identified as critical to the region’s future economic prosperity. Regina-based Mr. Thomas has held various leadership roles including as the youngest Chair of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Board of Directors of SaskEnergy, Saskatchewan’s natural gas distribution utility, and was its Vice-Chair from 2012-2016. Mr. Thomas works part time as Strategic Advisor to the President at the University of Regina, serves on the Government of Saskatchewan’s Post-Secondary International Education Council, is a member of CARE Canada's Board of Directors, is President of the Banff Forum, and is a member of the Rideau Hall Foundation Board of Directors.
