Canadian Tech Centre Welcomes Huawei to Growing Consortium
Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN) based in Kanata, Ontario has announced that China’s Huawei, one of the world’s largest communications technology companies, will be the newest member of the consortium. The partnership will provide an opportunity for Huawei and its partners to work with Canadian MSMEs and start-ups on a number of opportunities related to the deployment of 5G, while leveraging the research team at Huawei's Canada Research Centre, also based in Kanata. CENGN is a consortium of industry, academic and research leaders dedicated to accelerating the commercialization of next generation communications solutions and responsible for over C$25 billion in R&D worldwide. Huawei Canada has been in operation since 2008, with wireless products and services that support many of Canada's leading telecommunications companies.
