Nova Scotia Premier Leads Delegation to Asia
Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil will lead a provincial delegation to Asia today to promote trade and investment opportunities and strengthen relationships. Premier McNeil says the mission will strengthen Nova Scotia's relationship with China, the province’s second-largest trading partner, and support Nova Scotia businesses and institutions. Nova Scotia’s exports to China have more than doubled, reaching a value of C$491 million last year. During the mission, the premier and Fisheries Minister Keith Colwell will attend the Seafood Expo Asia in Hong Kong and meet with key business leaders to showcase Nova Scotia’s premium seafood products during several key events and meetings. The mission wraps up September 13.
