Pratt & Whitney Canada Signs Maintenance Agreements with Qantas Airlines
Pratt & Whitney Canada (PW&C), a Quebec-based aircraft engine manufacturer, has signed a new contract with Qantas Airlines for the maintenance of an additional 51 Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). APUs are gas turbine engines used primarily during aircraft ground operation. Through this agreement, PW&C will now maintain all of their APUs flown by Qantas, Australia’s largest airline, which allows the Quebec company to maintain the optimal quality for these aircraft. P&WC currently has more than 10,000 APUs and nearly 3,000 of them are enrolled in maintenance programs.
