Quebec’s Bombardier Wins Contract to Upgrade Light Rail Transit Line in Singapore
Montreal-headquartered Bombardier Inc.'s Bombardier Transportation has signed an asset replacement contract with Singapore's Land Transport Authority. The deal includes the supply of 19 new cars and the retrofitting of 13 existing Bombardier cars, as well as delivering a signalling system upgrade for 14 stops on the Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit Line. The contract is valued at approximately US$262 million. Since 2012, Bombardier has delivered 276 driverless cars for Singapore's Downtown Line and 13 driverless cars for the Bukit Panjang LRT.
